(part two of two) John and Mary Jo Tenuto continue their interview with hosts Lili Fox-Lim and Harper Dhadde. John talks in great detail about interviewing William Shatner delightfully adding that Shatner added so much to the Tenuto’s book Star Trek III: The Search for Spock The Making of the Classic Film. This is expounded upon William Shanter being a hero at Paramount during the late 1983 fires that destroyed some studios adjacent to the Genesis planet set for the film while Shanter traveled back and forth form the Trek film set to the TV series T.J. Hooker. The stories of Leonard Nimoy directing the 1984 film with deep cut behind the scenes stories, Robin Curtis taking over the role of Saavik, Plus, Craig Barron the matte camera supervisor and director Nicholas Meyer.
