Harold Klemp's introduction stated: What is the best way to explain the HU to a person new to Eckankar? Harold’s response was, I think the best way is to say it is a love song to God that can help you. Harold goes on to share, HU is both the name of God and the sound of God. That is why we sing the HU. HU is the sound that underlies all sounds. HU is the fabric upon which life lives, breaths, and has IT's movement. The ECK, or the breath of God, the Holy Spirit, makes life possible. Without IT, there would be no life.
